The 2011 Dyess We Care Team Top 10 Volunteers

The 11th annual Dyess We Care Team 2011 Awards Banquet was held on the evening of July 30. The main purpose of the event is to recognize and thank the many volunteers who have donated their time and efforts with projects from the past year. This years awards banquet was sponsored by the Star Family of Dealerships and the Communities of Abilene Federal Credit Union.

The highlight of the banquet is the recognition of the top 10 volunteers of the year.  This years winners received their awards from Col. Davin Béen, Commander, 7th Bomb Wing, Dyess AFB.  The 2010-2011 We Care Team volunteer of the year was awarded to A1C John Tomsich.

A Very Special Surprise From The WCT Volunteers

Ret MSgt Gordon Storey, the founding director of the Dyess We Care Team receives a special recognition award from Col. David Béen.  Gordon organized the WCT and led them on their first project on July 28, 2000.  He has remained in Abilene since his retirement because of his love for the WCT and the leadership opportunities that it affords to many of the your Airman, the future leaders of the United States Air Force.
