WCT volunteers continued to make improvements to the Alameda neighborhood and spent their Memorial Day weekend helping yet another “Granny”. Approximately 30 volunteers came out to trim trees, replace dry rot, install sensor lighting and paint the home of sweet lady living in the Alameda addition. A delicious lunch was provided by our friends at Texas Roadhouse. The WCT completed the project by 3:00 PM! The WCT did not have to utilize any of their CFC funds in order to pay for the material for this project. Our good friends at the Star Family of Dealers covered ALL the expense!! The good folks over at Star, like the volunteers of the Dyess We Care Team, are truly dedicated to giving back to the community of Abilene and the surrounding Big Country.
