This building\, steeped in history\, now serves as a beacon of hope and support for at-risk and homeless teens\, offering a safe and nurturing after-school environment. Our mission is to breathe new life into this cherished facility\, ensuring it continues to be a haven for the youth of Abilene for years to come.\nThe Project: More Than Just a Fresh Coat of Paint\nThis isn’t just a renovation—it’s a labor of love and dedication. Volunteers from The Dyess We Care Team will undertake a comprehensive makeover of the Youth Voice facility\, including:\nPrepping and Painting: We’ll start with a complete cleaning and prep\, followed by vibrant\, fresh paint to revitalize the facility.\nElectrical Work: Bringing the building up to modern standards with electrical repairs and updates for safety and functionality.\nBuilding a Stage: A brand-new stage will provide a platform for teens to express themselves through music\, theater\, and other creative outlets.\nWall Murals: Local artists will join forces with our volunteers to create inspiring\, youth-centric murals that reflect the spirit of hope and empowerment.\nMeet the Dream Team\nWhy This Project Matters\nThe Youth Voice facility provides a critical lifeline for teens facing challenges many of us can only imagine. From homework help to emotional support\, this facility ensures that every teen who walks through its doors has the chance to thrive.
