The Dyess We Care Team held it’s 26th annual awards banquet at the MCM Elegante Suites. Star Auto Group was once again the proud sponsor for the banquet. Star has been a supporter since the inception of the Dyess We Care Team. Serving as MC for this year’s event was CMSgt Joshua Swanger, USAF, Retired.

This years awards banquet was a time to reflect on the incredible milestones achieved over the past year. it’s incredibly heartwarming to see the impact of years of dedication and community spirit that have brought us all together in celebration. This special event not only highlighted the exceptional contributions of our volunteers but also reinforced the bond we share as a community, where each act of service creates a ripple effect of positivity. The laughter and camaraderie echoed throughout the MCM Elegante Suites, reminding us of the shared commitment to making a difference in the lives of others. Together, we honor those who have selflessly given their time and energy, and we look forward to the continued journey of service, inspiration, and connection that lies ahead.

MCM Elegante Suites served a delicious meal along with the always popular desert provided by the Life of Pie. The awards were presented to our volunteers by Major Gen Joseph P Stein, USAF, Retired and former 7th Bomb Wing Commander at Dyess Air Force Base. Captain Car Wash: SrA Damian Laguna

This year's All American Car Wash raised $7,767 for the Dyess AFB First Sergeants Operation Warm Heart.

Dyess Air force Base Operation Warm Heart is a charitable relief program run by the Dyess First Sergeant Council. It provides emergency financial aid, food vouchers, and holiday support to active duty and resrve military members and their families experiencing sudden financial hardships. This years event washed a total of 70 vehicles. Matching donations were made by Star Auto Group, Texas Title, Nick Fallecker Caldwell Banker Apex, Realtors and On The Regular Body Care.

Major Gen Stein is the former Commander of the 7th Bomb Wind at Dyess AFB from June 1999 – November 2000. Major Gen Stein signed off for the approval of the formation of the Dyess We Care Team 26 years ago.
