The Dyess We Care Team continued it’s work on the Meander Street project. We are always thankful for the much needed rain here in Abilene but it did have an impact on the project and did cause some slight delays in completing he project. This particular Saturday was very special as some of our top volunteers frome years past returned to Abilene to assist current WCT volunteers with the project.
Making the day even more special was having a crew from CNN in Abilene for the day shooting video of the Dyess We Care Team and doing interviews with some of the volunteers. CNN is in the process of putting together a story on retired MSgt Gordon Storey, founder of the WCT, it’s program and volunteers. Stay tuned for more exciting information as well as the expected release date. The WCT was close to completing the project but was going to need one more additional day to complete.
