Saturday, October 21: Operation Special Santa Car Wash @ Fox Coffee (SE corner of Hobby Lobby Parking Lot)

11 AM – 4 PM

In this season of joy and cheer,
When Christmas spirit draws us near,
Let’s think of those who often fade,
In the background, their needs unswayed.
 
While Angel Trees and Toys For Tots,
Bring gifts for little ones, in lots,
A question arises, hearts in plight,
Will our Vets get a gift on Christmas night?
 
In nursing homes, they quietly stay,
Our heroes, who’ve paved the way,
For our freedom, they’ve given all,
Yet in the shadows, some may fall.
 
And adults with hearts so brave,
But with mental challenges, they crave,
A moment of joy, a gift, a smile,
To make their Christmas dreams worthwhile.
 
Who answers this heartfelt plea?
Who makes their Christmas bright and free?
Fear not, for here’s a tale to tell,
Of heroes who do it oh so well.
 
Operation Special Santa’s our name,
With caring hearts and a giving aim,
We wash cars for donations, true,
To bring joy to the often overlooked few.
 
BE the beacon on that festive night,
Shining love and spreading light,
To veterans AND those with special needs,
Your kindness, it’s a wondrous deed.
 
But wait, there’s more, a gift so grand,
From Cordell’s and Willow Creek’s hand,
A match of donations, up to the skies,
TRIPLING the joy, to everyone’s surprise!
 
But, my friends, there’s one more plea,
For Operation Special Santa to be,
A success, we need volunteers so dear,
Or they might not have a Christmas this year.
 
So, let’s unite, be someone’s grace,
Be a Christmas miracle in this special place,
With hearts aglow, we’ll light the way,
For those in need on Christmas Day.
